This event will be an interactive event, where you'll pair program with another developer to solve a programming challenge. The goals of this event are to have fun programming, learn from other developers, and increase communication between Japanese and international developers.
The programming challenge that should take about an hour to do. The challenge will be solvable using pure ruby - no special frameworks required. The challenge is designed to be accessible to people of all skill levels. So whether you're just getting started with Ruby, or you're already an expert, you should enjoy it.
To give you an idea of what kind of challenges you might solve, here's some we've done in the past:
Grab a drink and catch up with your fellow Rubyists.
We'll give a short introduction to pair programming, go over the challenge itself, and assign you a partner.
Work with your partner to solve the challenge.
Have an interesting solution? Share it with the group.
Talk with other attendees about Ruby or anything else.
